Professor Krzysztof Bielecki is a leading expert in the field of general surgery and surgical oncology. A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Warsaw. He is a long-time chief surgeon and Head of the Department of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery of Medical Postgraduate Education Centre in Warsaw. Member of the Polish and international medical organizations such as: Towarzystwo Chirurgów Polskich, Polskie Towarzystwo Gastroenterologiczne, Polskie Towarzystwo Chirurgii Onkologicznej, Polski Klub Koloproktologii, polski Klub Trzustkowy, Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, Collegium Internationale Chirurgiae Digestivae, World Council of Enterostomal Therapy, European Society of Surgical Oncology, World Association of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, International Gastro-Surgical Club, European College of Surgeons in Strassbourg, European Association of Coloproctology, International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons, European Digestive Surgery, International Society of Surgeons.

Professor Krzysztof Bielecki is also a member of many editorial departments, among others: Postępy Nauk Medycznych, Acta Endoscopica Polonia, Gastroenterologia Polska, Wiadomości Lekarskie, Essentia Medica, Pielęgniarstwo Chirurgiczne i Angiologiczne, Chirurgia po Dyplomie, Techniques In Coloproctology.
