Note on imaging examinations, including ultrasound:
It is recommended to submit the previous examination result (results) of the analysed area.

Detailed information on patient’s preparation for the ultrasound examination (general tips which should be followed unless otherwise ordered by physician):
For 24 hours prior to the exam it is recommended to eat light meals and administer Espumisan (3-4 capsules/3 times a day) to ensure that the remaining gas is removed from the bowels. Up to 6 hours prior to the exam, it is allowed to drink small amount of non-carbonated water. However, you should refrain from eating solid foods. Furthermore, refraining from smoking is recommended. Persons who have an increased tendency to constipation should limit the amount of food even up to 2 days prior to the exam.
If a credible evaluation of small pelvis organs is required in the abdominal ultrasound, it is necessary for the urinary bladder to be adequately filled. Thus, it is recommended to drink plenty of non-carbonated water 2 hours prior to the exam (preferably 1-1.5 l) and refrain from urinating until after the exam.
