An important strength of our team consists in comprehensive approach to problems and ailments our patients complain of. We offer full ultrasound testing of veins and arteries (Doppler ultrasound) and specialist radiology consultation on X-ray, CT and MRI tests. Decision on the choice of treatment is always preceded by preliminary examination of patient. A team of well-experienced specialists of phlebology, surgery, radiology, diagnostic imaging and aesthetic medicine would ensure comprehensive and accurate approach to your problems. Choice of treatment is always individually adjusted to the ailments, needs and financial status of patients. In treatment of venous insufficiency the methods of choice are well-proven minimally invasive procedures (microsclerotherapy, Veinwave, all echosclerotherapy methods with foam inserted intravascularly, endovenous laser therapy with ELVeS system or modern ‘superglue’ treatment of varicose veins accessed intravascularly). The latter method – VenaSeal – was introduced to the worldwide market by American company – Sapheon Inc.
Clinic of Phlebology-NASMED is the first centre in Poland which began to perform this procedure. Our patients are also offered procedures using classic methods of short-term surgery. Therefore, our hospital was adjusted for the purpose of one-day surgery. We have the most modern equipment, adequately adapted rooms (operative and post-operative rooms) and well-qualified anasthesiological team.
All of the aforesaid procedures are performed under high-resolution ultrasound guidance which does not cause any harm to patients. Clinic of Phlebology-NASMED frequently applies hybrid approach in the treatment of venous insufficiency. It consists in combining various therapeutic methods at the time of one or two-three procedures which are performed at short intervals. In our Clinic, patients with chronic shin wounds are provided with comprehensive specialist care, accompanied by instruction on bandaging and adjustment of compression therapy and dressings reimbursed by the National Health Fund, which is free of charge. Patients suspected of venous thrombosis are provided with quick diagnostic imaging and initiation of adequate treatment. If there is a suspicion of family history of thrombosis, a set of laboratory testing is performed to exclude the most common reasons of hypercoagulability in population, i.e. thrombophilia.
