Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system. The most common diseases of the nervous system are:

Wilson disease), – mitochondrial diseases (eg. Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy), – neuro-dermal disorders (eg. Recklinghausen disease), – peripheral neuropathies (eg. paralysis of radial nerve), – dementia disorders (eg. Alzheimer’s disease), – hereditary ataxia (eg. Friedreich disease)
