Within the gynecological visit we offer prophylaxis and treatment of the female reproductive system diseases. The most common problems treated by a gynecologist are: menstrual disorder, inflammations, birth control, infertility, tumors of the reproductive organs.
Gynecological checkup, just as any medical visit, should comprise the following elements:
medical interview concerning mostly the signs and symptoms as well as history of the past diseases concerning both the patient and their family members (e.g. cancer); specifc data concerning the gynecological area like information about menstrual cycle (date of the first day of the last menstruation, lenght and regularity of the cycle); information about sexual activity (pain, vaginal dryness, bleeding after sexual intercourse), or any worrying symptoms (leucorrhoea, haemorrhage, pain)
breast examinaton – should be performed at every visit. Young women should periodically have an ultrasound of the nipple done, and after the age of 40 – a mammography. A gynecologist is obliged to teach the patient how to examine her own breasts and check whether she is doing it correctly.

Every woman over the age of 16, or the one who has just initiated her sexual activity, should undergo a gynecological examination.
